This manual is a godsend when it comes to organic chemistry. Sometimes you truly think you understand something and then you check the answers and wonder where the heck you went wrong. Well here you go, the answer to all your questions. It gives you step by step instructions on how to solve a problem and has all the questions, both odd and even.The textbook for organic chemistry only has answers for the odd questions and it does not show you how to do it, whereas this one shows you how to do each and every problem. If you want to get down to the nitty gritty and see exactly where you messed up or how to better solve a problem, or even to give yourself a pat on the back because you got the question correct, this book is for you. I originally rented this book over summer and it was so great I decided to just buy it. Will come in handy in the future if ever reviewing organic chemistry material for future tests such as the MCAT.

A great solutions manual that is overpriced.

This is a must have to be successful in Organic. My professor doesn't assign homework, or quizzes, so your grade is based solely on tests (pretty much on your own to learn the material). Because of this, practicing on your own is not an option, but without the solutions manual you can do every problem in the book incorrectly and never know. The text itself is very helpful providing many example problems that have been worked for you, but not all answers are given. The solutions manual has answers to all problems in the book and includes reviews of the main idea from each section. The really nice part about the solutions manual is that it gives an explanation with the answer to more complex questions. I have found an error or two, but that happens with most books. Definitely recommend purchasing.

Excellent for preparing for organic chem. Covers all the problems in the text with thorough descriptions and reasoning behind each correct answer (and for some, why other answers are wrong). I've had books that just give the answer and force you to work them out, glad this wasn't one of them. Used it and the textbook it is paired with extensively in preparing for o chem exams, aced every test and the course. Worth its weight in gold and far cheaper on Amazon than the college bookstore (got this, the text, and another book for the price of the textbook alone at the bookstore). Definite recommend.

This is an absolute must have if you want to learn organic chemistry. I've found that working the problems in the book is the best way to learn organic and being able to check your answers is imperative. Even if you have a great professor, this is an excellent tool for practicing and making sure you are on the right track. This is one book i;m actually glad i purchased for a class.
