About the Author
Jeremy Davis grew up in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, and learned to ski at Nashoba Valley. In the 1990s, he skied frequently in southern Vermont and began to explore the lost ski areas in that region. He founded the New England Lost Ski Areas Project (www.nelsap.org) in 1998 and graduated from Lyndon State College in Lyndonville, Vermont, in 2000 with a degree in meteorology. He has served on the board of directors of the New England Ski Museum since 2000 and is employed as a senior meteorologist at Weather Routing Inc. He is also the author of Lost Ski Areas of the White Mountains. Residing in Saratoga Springs, New York, Davis remains a frequent skier in southern Vermont today.

a good book to understand why the large ski areas came to be.
I really look forward to the Lost Ski Areas books, because it'seems like talking to my old departed ski industry friends, who use to tell me the stories and struggles of yesteryear in the developing of the ski areas of the world and the ski troops that helped to nurture it.
Well written book which shows a lot of research in areas I grew up. I currently own Juniper Hills ski lodge and has been a wonderful home and so glad to see the photos and all of the history put into print. Highly recommend if you are familiar with the Adirondack area or love to ski.

I loved reading the history of all the ski areas in the Northern Adirondacks. Remembering the ski areas of yesteryear is lots of fun. I'm so glad all of this is being preserved! Well written, well researched, and well presented.
