Yes, it can be difficult to find educational products for the wrestling fan in your life. My son, being a total wrestling freak forever (his first word was "Okono"...umm, yeah that meant Hulk Hogan for about a year or so). He is now married and his wife has to put up with his obsession (and ever growing collection of wrestling stuff). I got this for a stocking stuffer because my son has always loved reading and has a thing for words, definitions and parts of speech. He has loved Mad Libs and wrestling as long as he has been old enough to indulge in them so I think this is the thing that he will get the most use out of this year. He will undoubtedly annoy everyone around him (especially his ever-patient wife) by begging them to name an adjective or a noun, but he will have a great time doing it and it will provide hours of entertainment for him and his sports loving neighbor. BTW, if you have a child who is a wrestling fan and you want to help them with reading or grammar, this is the thing to get.

I bought this for a road trip to keep my 10 and 12 year old WWE fans occupied. It's inexpensive and ships very quickly. This guarantees laughs!

We haven’t yet sat down to play this but looking it over it looks like a typical Mad Lib...an dthats not a bad thing.

Grandson loves it.

My son has really enjoyed creating funny WWE stories with this Mad Libs book. It is a great way to reinforce some grammer skills (nouns, verbs, adjs, etc) with young kids, while having a blast creating stories with his favorite WWE stars. Was one of the biggest hits from his stocking and requires only a child's imagination to generate loads of fun.

So fun! My teen son and his buddies had a hilarious afternoon filling these in. Good gift!

I ordered this book after receiving a breast cancer diagnosis at the age of 31. I wanted something to help us start the conversation with our almost 4 year old daughter, and this book is perfect! It touches on treatment types (surgery, chemo, and radiation), hair loss, mommy feeling tired and sick and possibly sad, but the main theme is very positive and empowering. It goes through all the things cancer hates, so those are the things we need to do lots of to fight cancer (kisses, hugs, laughter, compliments, etc). We have a list of all those things on our fridge while I continue my fight (I'm still going through chemo and have surgery and radiation ahead of me). Our 4 year old has been pumped to be my sidekick and help her cancer fighting superhero mom fight cancer since we first read this book to her. I'm so thankful for this book!

It takes a master craftsman - or, should I say woman - to not only write about such a delicate topic, but to write about it so eloquently and down to earth that children are able to grasp a gentle understanding of what's happening in the world around them. Talking with children about what's happening to their loved ones isn't easy, and Cancer Hates Kisses helps to lighten that load. I recently sent this book to a friend struggling with how to talk with her children about their father's cancer. She hadn't quite figured out how to explain why Daddy was so sick, but this helped them all to feel a little more in control. I love that this book portrays the mother, not as weak with cancer, but as a Cancer Fighting Superhero. I love that this book shows kids that they don't have to sit on the sidelines; they can kiss and dance and fight to help push the cancer away. And mostly, I love that the author found the silver lining in her own diagnosis to help others.

I have 3 small children and this book was such a lifesaver for us during treatment. So many children’s books on a parent coping with cancer can be scary or over a child’s head with issues they aren’t fully ready to grasp. This was a light, fun but yet very important and poignant book for our family. Although I just finished treatment, my youngest daughter still likes to read it becuase it means we get to snuggle and act out the “POW-POW” parts and laugh. And that is the best medicine for us all:).

Even my 12 year old loved it and it gave me a new outlook about myself as I fight through this. I am a super hero and I will beat this with the love and kisses from my family.

This is a beautiful, positive book that celebrates the healing power of love. I'm not a cancer survivor, but I took care of my father as he was battling cancer, so this story really resonates with me. It would be perfect to have read to the grandchildren who were also going through this battle with him. Something as simple as a hug or a kiss or laughter are little things that bring both the person fighting cancer and the caregivers comfort. I bought a copy for myself and I also brought it to my OB/Gyn's office to share with them. My doctor and nursing staff were thrilled to have this resource and plan to purchase the book for their waiting room! Will be buying a second copy to have in case I need to give it to someone.

Cancer Hates Kisses, is a beautiful book with a powerful message! I bought a copy for my mom, who was diagnosed with cancer nine months ago. My mom is now cancer-free, but is still dealing with the ongoing turmoil of being in remission (such as the side effects of medications, radiation sickness, never ending doctors appointments, etc.). My mom had tears in her eyes while reading this book, and it truly meant the world to her. She now keeps the book on her nightstand, as a reminder that she's a warrior and a superhero!

This is essentially computer paper pressed and pace with a cute cover. It should be worth a maximum of $3If you're an artist looking for good paper, try another brand. I mean even the cover is thin and will get worn out soon. But I really like the cover, so I'll keep it.

Gave to my 14 yr old niece as a gift. She is hugely into anime and drawing. She absolutely loved this book. Pages seemed quite durable as well.

"In this hell of noise, man disintegrates and is lost." Cardinal Sarah is not a writer in the same league as Pope Benedict or von Hildebrand. But he is a truly remarkable man with remarkable thoughts. If you haven't read God or Nothing, I would read that first to better understand where Cardinal Sarah is coming from. But don't miss this book and its message. My only regret is that it ranks #541 on the Amazon best seller list.

I think this is the most important book on the market right now. Not that its subject matter would ever be untimely, but it is especially timely in our tweet-saturated, attention-dispersed, blinking-light modern world. This is one of those books where I have to stop myself from underlining just about everything. Theologically, it is remarkably astute and instructive. Spiritually, it is as nourishing a read as any book I can remember reading.

The Cardinal's premise is that our post-modern world is so full of noise, that our own minds and souls are filled with it. Then we have spread the noise to the Church, where it most certainly does not belong. The Church in its liturgy and other practices is forgetting the ancient practice of keeping silence before God in prayer, adoration, and lectio divina; it is giving into the noise and forgetting that God Himself keeps silence. Sarah encourages the reader to rediscover the ancient, monastic urge to withdraw to the desert to hear the voice of God which can only be heard when we keep silence. This is following Jesus Christ's example, and it is a protest against the dictatorship of noise all around us in this screen- and social media-obsessed world we inhabit.Along with The Benedict Option, Sarah's book offers a clear path for Christians to resist the noise of this fake and hostile world.

This is my first Cardinal Sarah book (I have "God or Nothing" but haven't read it - sad!). In it, he expounds on a topic that is dear to my heart but had been largely underproclaimed in the modern Church. I am Indonesian, and as an Asian I am culturally accustomed to the orderly alternating cycles of music and silence... that is, until modernity blurs all of them! Cardinal Sarah provides a refreshing and comprehensive take on the important subject of silence. He bases his reflections on his personal experience at the Carthusian Charterhouse. The Carthusian Order—some of us might have known this already—is the master practitioner of silence, both external and internal. It is certainly hard to comprehend how a group of men is able to accomplish the simple yet heavy task of being utterly silent in the presence of the Almighty. Cardinal Sarah shows how the tree of silence, when planted carefully, can have roots reaching deep and far, and fruits lush and fleshy. Silence, though seems passive, is very much active and no less of a weapon in the spiritual warfare. I'm glad the good Cardinal wrote this book!

Still working through this Wonderful, Necessary, and Most Unique book.Many of my friends have this as well and we all agree, Cardinal Sarah (pronounced Sur-RAH - like Hurrah!) has nailed the Ache, Hunger, Deep Longing palpably present within with our hearts AND the Remedy for the soul's disease in this world of chaos and noise - SILENCE. Not just Quiet - although that is a helpful start - but the Holy Silence drawing one into His Most Holy Presence. Being With God in Silence, Cultivating that cave of the heart! The cave where Elijah waited, the cave of Bethlehem, the cave holding the Body of Jesus awaiting the Resurrection....Here He teaches us to not be afraid of the Silence, not be afraid of the Dark, for He is Present.Again, like many other holy books, I have found reading this before the Blessed Sacrament the best place to BE with Him all while He is With me.....

Disappointed that this is stated for ages 8 and up and says it is for “young readers”. Be warned that the content contains controversial material you may need to explain to your young children. My 8 year old came up to me and said, “wow, Anne wanted to be a lesbian” after reading a particular entry about her desire to kiss and touch her friend’s breasts and that she goes into “ecstasy” when she sees nude females...be warned and maybe read it before you hand it over to your children...

Wow this graphic adaptation of Anne Frank’s diary is so well done and truly amazing. It really tells this classic and true work of nonfiction in a new light. Great for lovers of anything Anne Frank. I have been to the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam, and I believe this complements that museum well. It visually depicts the Nazi’s reign of terror in Europe.

I bought this for my two grandchildren ages 10 and 12. They began reading it immediately and when asked said it was "really good". Wonderful graphics. Interesting and varied layouts on pages throughout the book.

I was worried that this graphic adaptation would lose Anne's spirit or not include enough of her diary. I do believe that they did a great job of selecting the most relevant and substantial entries. I do think that this method of presenting Anne's story works and achieves its goal of garnering interest of younger generations. My students love Anne, as if she was still with us today, and I know that they are going to love this version of her diary just as much as the one they read last year. It is a triumph both in illustration and creation, and it was obviously done with a lot of love and care.

The illustrations are very nicely done; very good artwork and color scheme. The illustrations help visualize what life was like in the annex, and also give a glimpse inside Anna’s mind and show her sense of humor. On the other hand, I was left feeling that as an adult who has read the written manuscript, this illustrated version didn’t really enhance my experience. I do think, however, that it will be more useful for younger people, and for future generations, especially those who couldn’t be bothered to read her whole diary.

This book is a MuST! The illustrations are beautiful, certainly enriched the story. Its a fantastic gift for people who already read the book and for people who never heard about Anne Frank before.

I purchased this for my 8 year old daughter; when it arrived, I couldn't put it down and found my daughter was as equally engaged with the book. I asked my daughter what she would tell others about the book she says "the book teaches you about racism, the graphics are amazing and the story is very interesting".
